Lessons learned from Kegworth

On 7th January 1989, a Boeing 737-400 crashed near the M1 motorway whilst attempting an emergency landing at East Midlands Airport.

Prof. Colton was in charge of the medical response and many lessons were learned.

This led to a large research project into passenger cabin safety and major incident management, the outcomes of which will be discussed.
