True Crime - centenary of women serving as uniformed police officers

To commemorate the centenary of women serving as uniformed police officers, the True Crime group invited Lois Easter, a woman police constable in the Metropolitan Police Service in the 1960s and author of A Girl in Blue, to their January meeting. Lois spoke about the history of women in the police service and her experiences as a police officer in London.
