Music appreciation

The Music Appreciation Group meet at Bodham Village Hall on the fourth Thursday of the month between 2.00pm and 4.00pm. The group do not meet in December.
We all contribute £10 approximately every 4-5 months to cover the cost of refreshments and hiring the hall.
We meet for the pleasure of listening to and sharing opinion on good music which is usually (but not exclusively) classical music. Members of the group often volunteer to present and play a selection of music based on a composer or a theme. At some meetings we invite all members to bring in a piece of music to share with the group.
We already have a very interesting line up of presentations for 2026, including:
The music of Ravel
The Art of the Fugue
A selection of Baroque music
Modern Nordic Composers
The music of strings.
We have also introduced themed Members choice of music in which our membership select music to share with the group.
This is a very informal group and we are always pleased to see new members. We can promise you a warm and friendly welcome and no previous musical knowledge or expertise is necessary!
We do not have a published programme - email the group contact for more information
