The History of Kites

Join us for a talk about kites and their history, injecting a sense of the outdoors and vibrant colour amidst the dull days of January!

Kevin Appleton is an administrator for the group known as Colour the Sky Kite Displays.

He will give a broad ranging, illustrated talk about kites, his own kite flying activities, kite design and the basics about how they fly, the origins, history, more recent development, and various uses of kites around the world, including for display and commercial use.
