Local History 2
The group meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 10am to 12.00pm. The talks will begin at 10:30am
The purpose is to have a speaker on a variety of Local History topics, and to also arrange visits on an occasional basis.
The Programme for the remainder of 2026 is:
24th March at The Gallow Fakenham - Anne May on The Cathedral, the Close and the Norwich Blitz’
28th April Walking tour of Walsingham covering the Shrines, Orthodox and Methodist churches (and ending by the cafe). 10.30-11.45
26th May at The Lighthouse Sheringham - Tim Groves on Sheringham as a Resort Town
18th June 6.30pm Walking tour of Spout Hills - Reserve day if bad weather 22nd June
25th August at The Gallow Fakenham Sarah Doig on The A to Z of Curious Norfolk
22nd September at The Lighthouse Sheringham Margaret Younger on Felbrigg Hall and the folk who lived there
Tuesday 27th October 11.30am, Guided Tour of Norwich Cathedral
24th November at The Lighthouse Sheringham. Neil Storey on The Norfolk Coast in World War 2
