Local History 2

The group meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 10am to 12.00pm. The talks will begin at 10:30am

The purpose is to have a speaker on a variety of Local History topics, and to also arrange visits on an occasional basis.

The Programme for the start of 2026 is:

27th January at The Gallow Fakenham - Nick Miller on Edith Cavell

24th February at The Lighthouse Sheringham - Sue Smart on Rebecca’s Ring

24th March at The Gallow Fakenham - Anne May on The Cathedral, the Close and the Norwich Blitz’

28th April Walking tour of Walsingham covering the Shrines, Orthodox and Methodist churches (and ending by the cafe). 10.30-11.45

6th May at The Lighthouse Sheringham - Tim Groves on Sheringham as a Resort Town
