Creative Writing 1

The group meets on the second Friday of the month.

Members: 7-8 meeting in members homes who can and are willing to accommodate

We write for pleasure. Each month members write something to share with the rest of the group - poetry, plays, monologues, short stories, single chapters of larger works etc. We offer a topic selected randomly to help members who like something to fire the imagination, however using this is not compulsory and is often connected to the work produced only tangentially, producing interesting variety, if used at all. Average piece length is around 1500 words max length, in order to facilitate everyone sharing their work. We often share discussions around writing and books generally as well as publishing, AI story generation, entering competitions and things members do outside the group mostly about writing….
